Wikileaks suggest Lady Gaga to voice Betty Boop

Lady Gaga is linked to Simon Cowell's upcoming Betty Boop animated movie.

According to leaked Sony documents on Wikileaks The Born This Way hitmaker is set to voice the iconic character.

Simon Cowell announced his plans to make the first Betty Boop film last summer.

In the Sony emails, Columbia Pictures executive Lauren Abrahams says: "Lady GaGa is attached to voice Betty Boop & do some of the music."

Gaga's involvement had not been officially confirmed before the leak.

Abrahams also suggests that the film will be an "animated live action hybrid" and confesses she is not a big fan of the idea. She says: " Not sure really who it’s for in a big mainstream way", while Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad adds, "It sounds kind of weird to me to be honest. I don't mind if we don't chase it."

Lady Gaga's representatives have not yet commented on the story while a representative for Sony Music has declined to comment on information "stolen in a malicious attack".

The leaked emails posted to Wikileaks are a continuation of the correspondence hacked by cyber terrorists last year.
