Speculation is mounting that the popular chart show it to make a return to the BBC with Fearne Cotton and Dermot O'Leary as presenters.
Reports suggest that the popular music show, which was cancelled in 2006, may make a return later this year on Fridays to coincide with the charts moving from Sundays.
The BBC have not confirmed the reports, simply saying that "there have been constant whispers about Top of the Pops returning - but they are just whispers".
Cotton, who recently announced she was leaving BBC Radio 1, was one of the last regular presenters of the original programme, while Dermot O'Leary has quit as the host of The X Factor. Hmmm....!
