Much to the relief of millions of Lego Movie fans worldwide, Emmet and Wyldstyle are set to return for the upcoming sequel.
The duo have checked their schedules and they are free to begin filming on the much anticipated follow up - Yeahhh, Everything IS Awesome.
The film's executive producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller will also return for the film and speaking to Zap2it, hinted at what fans can expect.
"It picks up where the other one left off," Lord said, before Miller added: "Emmet [voiced by Chris Pratt] and Wyldstyle [Elizabeth Banks] will be back, and others. And there will be new characters as well!
"We want to keep it mostly a surprise.
"We found a new way to... not just retread the stuff we did in the first movie. It will still make it feel true to the way kids play and the way people experience Legos.
"The idea for all of these movies is to make them feel like a fresh approach to the material... So I think we've succeeded in figuring out how The Lego Movie 2 will feel very different to [the original] full stop."
Before The Lego Movie 2 hits cinemas in 2018, a Batman spinoff will be released in 2017.
