Chris Evans has confirmed that a TFI Friday anniversary special will be broadcast on June 12.
The rumours about the special have now been confirmed by the presenter, who will celebrate the Channel 4 show's 20th anniversary with a one-off, 90-minute episode.
Evans also revealed that he had the "first, proper grown-up production meeting" about the special yesterday (April 14).
"All went well," he wrote on Twitter. "TFI Friday will return - live 9pm, Channel 4, Friday June 12 for a ninety minute special. Yahoo!"
Evans also shared another countdown video on YouTube entitled TFI Friday - 59 Days To Go, featuring a number of clips from the original Channel 4 series which ran on Friday evenings from 1996 to 2000.
Evans previously expressed interest in reviving the format, initially stating that he was "bang up for it" in 2014. He also joked that the team had intended for the special to mark the 20th anniversary, before realising that they were a year out.
Currently working as a BBC Radio 2 presenter, Evans hosted the first five seasons of TFI, while the sixth and final run had the likes of the Spice Girls, Davina McCall and Elton John as guest presenters.
