Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone will reportedly reunite on the big screen again in romantic musical La La Land.

The Crazy Stupid Love and Gangster Squad co-stars are in negotiations with director Damien Chazelle and Lionsgate to star in the musical according to Deadline.

Miles Teller and Emma Watson were originally set to star in the film before Watson opted to take on the leading role in the upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast instead. Whiplash star Teller has also dropped out of the project.

Production on the film is scheduled to begin this autumn and the studio is hoping to get Gosling and Stone signed up as soon as possible.

La La Land is described as an "old fashioned musical set in contemporary Los Angeles" and is about a love story between a jazz pianist and an aspiring actress.
