Live Champion’s League

7.30pm TV3/UTV

Last season's Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid meet for the seventh time this season in Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final, first leg with revenge in mind for both. Diego Simeone’s Atletico trail Carlo Ancelotti’s side in La Liga, but go into this match - a repeat of last year's final - having recorded a 4-0 win over their neighbours at the Estadio Vicente Calderon in February and a series of free-scoring victories in the group stage. Real, the 2014 winners, have come under fire after losing ground to league leaders Barcelona and a perceived dip in form of record signing Gareth Bale. Yet they were unbeaten in the group stage with home and away victories over Liverpool.

Former Spanish international, and two-time Champions League Finalist with Valencia, Gaizka Mendieta will be back to analyse the all-Spanish clash alongside ex Ireland manager Brian Kerr.  Tommy Martin introduces the action with commentary from Kevin Kilbane and Dave McIntyre.

Highlights of Juventus v Monaco, the night’s other Quarter Final, first leg tie, will feature from 10pm.
