Music mogul Simon Cowell would like to have more children with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and has said he would also consider adopting.

Speaking to The Daily Star, 55-year-old Cowell, who already has a one-year-old son, Eric, with Silverman, said: "I'm beginning to warm to the idea of adopting."

He continued: "We do want to have more children of our own but we could adopt as well. I wouldn't rule out it happening. It's a good idea."

Cowell named his son Eric after his beloved late father and has since gushed about the joys of parenthood.

He said: "I was born to be a dad. Although I worried at first I would love my dogs more. I actually said to Lauren beforehand, 'What if I like the dogs more than him?' and she said, 'You're gonna be absolutely fine'. And then, literally within seconds of him being born, I got it!"
