The Shepherd’s Crown is the 41st book to be published in the late novelist’s Discworld fantasy sequence.
It will be the fifth of Terry Pratchett's story to feature the witch Tiffany Aching, who readers first encountered in The Wee Free Men, first published in 2003. Pratchett sold an estimated 80m copies worldwide of his 70 books.
“No writer in my lifetime has given me as much pleasure and happiness," the novelist AS Byatt recently told the Guardian. "He could do knockabout for schoolboys (and girls) but he was also subtle and wise and very funny in the adult world. I loved him because almost all the characters he didn’t like slowly grew more real, more interesting, more complicated perhaps to his own surprise.”
The novel will be published globally on September 10. The hugely popular writer died at his home on March 12 last, aged 66, eight years after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
