Kristen Stewart has said she has never dreamed of winning an Oscar, instead she hopes to "one day" have the opportunity to direct.

The Still Alice star told The Hollywood Reporter, "I've never, ever been like, 'One day, I'm gonna win an Oscar'. Truly, my 'one day' was always, 'I'm gonna be a director! One day, I'm gonna direct movies!'"

Stewart added however that becoming the first American actress to win the French Cesar Award for her role in Clouds of Sils Maria was a mind-blowing moment, "Oh, man, it blew my head off, to be honest. I couldn't believe that I got nominated, and then obviously I really, really couldn't believe that they gave it to me, because those people rigidly dole out praise, especially to Americans. It felt really good."
