Melanie McCabe, who appeared on The X Factor four times agrees with Dermot O'Leary's decision to quit the show.
O'Leary, who has hosted the talent competition for the past eight years, broke the news that he would be leaving the show on Twitter saying, "Good afternoon. After eight wonderful years on The X Factor it's time for me to move on.
"I'd like to thank ITV, Simon, The X Factor family and particularly the viewers, all of whom have been a big part of my life for so long. I'd like to wish the team all the best for the future, especially whoever takes over from me."
Speaking to TEN, 21-year-old Dublin native McCabe said of O'Leary's decision, "It's kind of around the time that he should leave, he needs to go on to pastures new, test the waters and see what else he wants to do, it's been a long time."
An Evening with Melanie McCabe takes place in The National Concert Hall, Dublin on April 5. Tickets available from www.nch.ie
