Vin Diesel has said he was "serious" about his prediction that Furious 7 will win Best Picture at next year's Academy Awards.
The actor said last month, "Universal is going to have the biggest movie in history with this movie. This will win Best Picture. There is nothing that will ever come close to the power of this thing."
Diesel has now reiterated to Access Hollywood, "[I am] dead serious. I think this is a movie that makes people cry, makes people laugh and the emotional thrust of this movie is not like anything else."
He continued, "Something that the Oscars never take into consideration is the ability to make an audience cheer… You never cheer in the theatre, so to compound the laughing, the crying, the emotions… Sooner or later you have to acknowledge the feat, the miracle that it is to pull off a movie like this."
Furious 7 is in cinemas now.
