Simon Cowell has given Cheryl Fernandez-Versini a yes! The X Factor boss has revealed Cheryl will remain on the talent show "at all costs".
There has been a lot of talk of revamping the next series of The X Factor, however Cheryl Fernandez-Versini does not need to worry, as it appears her seat at the judges table is safe.
According to The Sun, music mogul Simon Cowell has told the 31-year-old popstar that she is a linchpin for the talent show's new season and will remain a judge "at all costs".
A source told the newspaper: "They haven't signed a deal yet but Simon, Cheryl and ITV are all on the same page.
"But that's really bad news for Mel. She had a good first year but bosses want a new line-up."
The news comes after Olly Murs is rumoured to be set to front the show alongside Caroline Flack after 41-year-old presenter Dermot O'Leary announced his exit last week.
Addressing the rumours Murs told The Sun: "There's no way I would even discuss doing the job on my own to replace Dermot. Dermot is one of my best mates in the industry.
"He's my showbiz brother. I would never do the job on my own and never try to be Dermot O'Leary.
"The only way I would even think or talk about it would be if Caroline was doing it with me because me and Caroline were great together. It would be completely different to what Dermot did."
