RTÉ 2fm DJ Louise McSharry is heading back to her Sunday night slot later this month after being given the all-clear from cancer.
The radio presenter was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August 2014 and took a sabbatical from work to concentrate on her treatment.
McSharry announced on March 27, Daffodil Day, that she has been declared cancer-free, tweeting: "So #DaffodilDay seems like the perfect day to tell you that I got the results of my scan, and I don't have cancer anymore!"
Speaking to TEN today, she said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be heading back to work soon ahead of going back on air on April 19. I've got loads of music to listen to in the meantime, as I'm looking forward to introducing lots of new songs and acts on the show."
She added: "I don't know if it's entirely sunk in yet that I don't have cancer anymore, but I've been feeling pretty good. My energy levels are slowly but surely getting back to normal, and hopefully I'll be back to full strength soon enough."
McSharry returns to her Sunday night slot from 8-10pm on April 19.
