Comedian Stephen Fry has quit Instagram telling his 92,000 followers that he has been "hounded off" the picture sharing site.
The 57-year-old The Hobbit star posted a blank snap on his page followed by the caption: "Newspapers, as ever, suck all the joy out of everything. Closing down. It was, briefly, fun. Bye."
Last month Fry announced that he would be taking a Twitter "holiday" until May.
