Interstellar wins Best Film at Empire Awards

Interstellar was named Best Film at Sunday night's Jameson Empire Awards in London.

Christopher Nolan won the Empire Inspiration award and was also named Best Director for his work on Interstellar.

Best Actor went to Andy Serkis for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with Rosamund Pike winning the Best Actress award for Gone Girl.

X-Men: Days of Future Past took the Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy award with Paddington named Best Comedy; The Imitation Game Best Thriller and The Babadook Best Horror.

Kingsman: The Secret Service won the award for Best British Film and the Empire Hero award went to Game of Thrones.
