Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn and 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen are teaming up for a heist thriller.
According to Deadline, Flynn will co-write the project, while McQueen will direct and produce.
The thriller is based on the 2002 British miniseries Widows, which focuses on a caper gone wrong, where four armed robbers are killed during their heist attempt and their widows team up to finish the job.
Flynn is re-teaming with Gone Girl director David Fincher on the HBO series Utopia, an adaptation of the British series.
McQueen is also working on a new show for HBO - a limited run series called Codes of Conduct.
