Tonight on The Works, John Kelly meets New York City rockers Interpol. They chat about their latest album El Pintor, how guitarist Daniel manages to keep up with his frenetic guitar riffs and what attracted Sam to join the band three years after its inception.

Arts journalist Eithne Shortall speaks to author Sarah Bannan about her acclaimed debut novel Weightless; a gripping tale of adolescent bullying set in a high school in Alabama.

Stanley Kubrick’s classic film Barry Lyndon has its 40th anniversary this year and John Kelly meets the star of the film Ryan O’ Neal and producer Jan Harlan. They discuss what it was like to film an Oscar-winning film in Ireland in the 1970s and the reality of working with one of cinema’s most revered directors.

And finally, The Works takes also take a look at The Untold Want, a major new exhibition of Irish and international artists in the RHA, Dublin.
