The award focuses on finding fresh, new, young broadcasting talent that represents the diversity of contemporary Irish life.
RTÉ2 delivers high quality public service programming for 15 - 34-year-old's across a wide range of genres, including Irish comedy, factual entertainment and the best of international drama, as well as sport and young people’s programming.
The winner of the award will be announced at The Smedias, one of the biggest nights in the Irish student calendar, on April 16, 2015, at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
The overall winner will receive a much coveted prize of a work placement with RTÉ Television during the coming summer, where they will be given mentored production training, both on and off screen, across a variety of departments. The category is open to all full-time and part-time students across Ireland, with the exception of students who have worked professionally within the media industry.
