Veep actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus is reported to be in negotiations to star in a remake of the acclaimed Swedish drama Force Majeure.
The Hollywood Reporter says the film tells the story of a family whose safety is threatened by an avalanche during a stay in the French Alps.
The father deserts the family, and when the avalanche passes the reunited members of the family must try to pick up the pieces.
Force Majeure won the Un Certain Regard jury prize at the Cannes Film Festival last year and was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Golden Globes.
Sources told the Hollywood Reporter that Louis-Dreyfus may also work as a producer on the film.
