Laureate for Irish Fiction Anne Enright, her fellow Man Booker winner Peter Carey and Jon Ronson are among the writers taking part in the International Literature Festival Dublin, which will run across the city from May 16 to 24.

The full programme will be announced in April and Programme Director Martin Colthorpe said: "It's a tremendous privilege to invite brilliant writers and bring urgent and unusual stories from around the world to this dynamic city.

"It's also really exciting to be producing work with great institutions and writers from Dublin, and I can't wait for the festival to begin."

As part of the festival programme, Enright will "explore the world" of her new book The Green Road, while Carey will discuss his latest work, Amnesia.

Ronson will tell the stories behind his exploration of social media storms, So You've Been Publicly Shamed.

There will also be live and recorded extracts from Mohamedou Ould Slahi's memoir Guantánamo Diary, with the author's editor, Larry Siems, and attorney, Nancy Hollander, discussing how Slahi wrote the bestseller.

Another highlight is Date with an Agent, which will see 75 aspiring writers pitch their work to leading literary agents, with closing date for submissions midnight on Friday March 27.
