Once the musical returns to Dublin this July

After a three-year run on Broadway, two years in the West End, and eight Tony Awards, Once returns home to Dublin for a six-week run this July but Ronan Keating will not be taking the lead role.

The tale of star-crossed busking lovers is based on John Carney's movie of the same name which starred Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová and will be staged at the Olympia Theatre with previews from July 4 and opening Tuesday July 14 to August 22.

Tickets priced €29.50 go on sale this Friday, March 27 at 9.00am.

Former Boyzone singer Ronan Keating won strong reviews in the lead role of Guy during the show's London run but he will not be reprising his the part for the Dublin run. 

The cast for Dublin is Tom Parsons as Guy, Megan Riordan as Girl, Sandra Callaghan as Baruska, Phelim Drew as Billy, Lisa Fox as Ex-Girfriend, Bob Kelly as Eamon, Michael Mahony as Emcee, Bill Murphy as Da, Dylan Reid as Andrej, Rickie O’Neill as Svec and Ruth Westley as Reza.
