Connie Britton has been cast in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.
According to The Hollywood Reporter she will play the Faye Resnick, a Los Angeles socialite and friend of Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown.
The show will see Britton reunite with her American Horror Story director Ryan Murphy, who tweeted: "Excited to announce my friend Connie Britton will play Faye Resnick in the upcoming FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson."
The 10-episode series is based on Jeffrey Toobin's book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson and will examine the O.J. Simpson trial from the perspective of the lawyers.
The all-star cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr as Simpson, Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro and David Schwimmer as Simpson's friend and attorney Robert Kardashian.
