TG4 has announced that this year, for the first time, Ireland will be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
The Junior Eurovision is a two-hour spectacular show, which this year will be broadcast live in November from a major European city.
Through a TV entertainment series this autumn, TG4 will select the singer or group of singers and an original Irish language song to represent Ireland on the big stage in Europe.
The competition is open to all young people resident in Ireland who will be aged between ten and 15 on the day of the show.
Auditions will be held at key venues throughout Ireland and TG4 are now looking for applicants who wish to be selected to audition.
