Jackie Trent, who wrote hits for Frank Sinatra and Shirley Bassey and who also penned the theme tune for Australian soap Neighbours, has passed away at the age of 74.
The UK-born composer passed away in hospital in Menorca on Saturday after a long illness, her spokesman said.
Trent wrote many theme tunes with her former husband Tony Hatch and in 1965 she hit Number One in the UK charts with her song Where Are You Now (My Love).
She and Hatch penned over 400 songs together for artists including Des O'Connor, Dean Martin, Nancy Wilson, and Jack Jones.
