Gallagher wants to write Bond theme song

Noel Gallagher has said that if the opportunity arose for him to write the theme song for a James Bond film he would "do it in a heartbeat".

Speaking to Germany's N-TV, Gallagher said: "I could do it, and it would be great."

However, the High Flying Birds mainman added that singing the theme song would be another matter. 

"I'm not a star, and for that you have to be a big star," he said. "You have to be someone in America."

Prior to the release of the 2012 Bond film Skyfall, Gallagher dismissed rumours that he was being "courted" for the theme track.
