Anthony Horowitz, the man behind Alex Rider, star of the bestselling series of books which began with Stormbreaker, will be in conversation with Shane Hegarty on Friday April 24 at the O’Reilly Theatre, UCD Dublin at 12pm.
Horowitz is making this special appearance in advance of the International Literary Festival Dublin which takes place from May 16-24. This pre-Festival interview is a school's event with limited tickets available for the public. In connection with that, ILF Dublin are seeking a class of superspy aficionados to witness this top clearance event. Each attendee will also receive a free copy of the new Alex Rider novel Russian Roulette.
Founded in 1998, the International Literature Festival Dublin hosts readings, discussions, debates, workshops, performance and screenings, with children’s fiction and Irish language writing always generously represented.
Also at this year's Festival, budding writers will have a chance to pitch their work to one of five leading literary agents including: Simon Trewin, Partner and Literary Head at WME London; Clare Wallace, Literary Agent at Darley Anderson Literary, TV and Film Agency; Sallyanne Sweeney Literary Agent at Mulcahy Associates, London; Julia Churchill, Literary Agent at AM Health, Dublin and Paul Feldstein, Literary Agent at The Feldstein Agency.
Submission deadline is next Friday, March 27. This event takes place on May 16 at Belvedere House (O’Reilly Theatre), admission €10. See www.ilfdublin.com or follow ILFDublin on Facebook.
