Still Alice co-director Richard Glatzer has died

Still Alice co-director Richard Glatzer has passed away at the age of 63 following a battle with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker was diagnosed with ALS very soon before he and husband Wash Westmoreland began adapting Lisa Genova's novel Still Alice.

Glatzer was hospitalised two weeks before this year's Academy Awards, at which Julianne Moore won the award for Best Actress for her role in Still Alice, with respiratory issues.
