Miles Teller has been cast in the bank robbers thriller The Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Whiplash actor will star in Universal's adaptation of the article on by Josh Dean which was published by The Atavist.

The story is about the infamous trio of bank robbers who were known for robbing banks in the US and Canada with razor-sharp precision and lightning fast speed. In one heist, they robbed millions of dollars from a bank in less than two minutes.

Gangster Squad's Ruben Fleischer is attached to direct and will produce alongside Scott Stuber, Dylan Clark and David Bernad.

Teller is also making his debut as a producer on the project.

The actor can next be seen in Insurgent and The Fantastic Four.
