Tim Burton will direct Disney's live-action adaptation of Dumbo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Big Eyes director will take on the story of a baby circus elephant who is ridiculed for his large ears, based on the 1941 classic animation.
Transformers franchise screenwriter Ehren Kruger has penned the script, which will add an original family story that compliments Dumbo's journey.
The film will be a mix of live action and CGI animation.
Disney's latest live-action adaptation, Cinderella, starring Lily James, opens in Ireland on March 27.
