Vegas, 11.15pm RTÉ One
This new series about a reluctant rancher turned sheriff in Las Vegas in 1960 is shaping up nicely. Based on a true story, Ralph Lamb leaves his farm to take up the role of lawman with the authority to take on the mobsters looking to cash in on the casinos. Chicago mobster Vincent Savino is the new general manager of the Savoy, the swankiest casino on the strip. A strong cast includes Dennis Quaid as Lamb and Michael Chiklis as Savino.

Richard was acting on an instinct that he would never be truly content in the city.
