The Help Oscar winner Octavia Spencer is in talks to play God in a film version of the bestselling novel, The Shack.
Variety reports the news about the film adaptation of the story, based on the 2007 novel by William P. Young, which focuses on the disappearance of one man’s daughter during a family holiday.
Four years later authorities come to the conclusion that she was murdered in a shack but then her father receives a note from God instructing him to revisit the scene of the crime.
The Shack sold more than 18 million copies around in the world and was translated into 39 languages.
