Interviews with Remains of the Day author Kazuo Ishiguro and The Decemberists' frontman Colin Meloy are among the highlights of tonight's edition of RTÉ arts show The Works. Watch a preview here.

Journalist and RTÉ Radio 1 Book Show host Sinéad Gleeson talks to Ishiguro about his first novel in a decade, The Buried Giant.

Also tonight, John Kelly talks to The Decemberists’ front man Colin Meloy about new album What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World. The band also perform new track Philomena.

There’s theatre with new play Run/Don’t Run, which is about a young Dubliner who escapes trouble at home by hiding out with his cousin in New York.

And in A Poem For Ireland, broadcaster Joe Duffy discusses Derek Mahon’s poem A Disused Shed in Co. Wexford and musician Iarla Ó Lionáird chats about why he would pick Seán Ó Ríordáin’s Fill Arís as his Poem For Ireland.

The Works airs on RTÉ One at 8:30pm tonight, March 6.
