Actor Adam Rothenberg, who has been a regular visitor to Ireland in recent years filming the Victoria crime drama Ripper Street, has been cast in the lead role in the pilot for a new US series, LA Crime.
Deadline.com describes the series as a "character-driven true-crime procedural" which is set in different eras in Los Angeles' history.
In LA Crime: The Sunset Strip, Rothenberg plays Jack Roth, a police officer who together with his partner is on the hunt for a pair of serial killers in the city in the 1980s.
The show reunites Rothenberg with Ripper Street director Tom Shankland, with Grey's Anatomy's Holley Fain playing his character's wife.
