Jennifer Garner is her children's Girl Scout troop's leader with the actress saying she likes to "Betty Crocker it up" as much as she can at home.

The Dallas Buyers Club star told People magazine of her routine with children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, "I make sure everyone has notes for their lunch box every day and who's having something special, and deciding who I read extra to [in the] morning.

"I've been the room mom for pre-school and kindergarten this year, and I'm Girl Scout troop leader for third grade. When I'm home, I dive in, [and] I try to Betty Crocker it up as much as I can."

Garner added that she also values her time with husband Ben Affleck, "I'm going straight to New York from here, and then I'm going to visit Ben [on set in Atlanta to] make sure he's good.

"It's just what you do... It just happened the other day where I was like, 'I think I'm ready to be on set and talk to grown-ups'. Send Batman in."
