He's known on screen for his devastatingly dry and often macabre quips, but James Bond star Daniel Craig will appear in his own sketch for this year's Comic Relief Red Nose Day on BBC.

Details of Craig's appearance are a closely guarded secret, but Comic Relief organisers say viewers will be left "shaken and stirred in the best way possible".

Also lined up to take part in Comic Relief - Face the Funnyday on March 13 are Professor Stephen Hawking and Rowan Atkinson.

Russell Brand will go head to head with The Chuckle Brothers, while Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi and Broadchurch star Olivia Colman will present appeal films on the charity's work in Africa.
