24 star Kim Raver has landed the lead role in a new ABC pilot The Advocate.
The drama is loosely based on the true story of a former talent agent who launches a healthcare consulting and case management company.
The actress will play Francis "Frankie" Reese, a tough, successful businesswoman who has a medical scare and is dangerously misdiagnosed.
As a result, she quits her career in order to help other people who have issues with American's complex healthcare system.
The pilot episode for The Advocate will be written by Sheldon Turner and directed by Michael M Robin.
