Well done to all
Well done to all

With the eighth season of Operation Transformation drawing to a close on RTÉ One on Thursday night, the show's five leaders have lost almost 10 stone between them.

On Thursday night's show, viewers will see the five - Veronica Horgan, Eilish Kavanagh, Mark McArdle, Alan Mullen and Louise Ormsby - celebrate their achievement in a styled catwalk show in front of family and friends.

Veronica has lost 2st 2lbs; Eilish 1st 6lbs; Mark 2st 9.5lbs; Alan 2st 5.5lbs and Louise 1st 4.5lbs.

Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas said: "I am so pleased for our five fantastic leaders, Alan, Eilish, Louise, Mark and Veronica. They looked amazing strutting their stuff on the catwalk for the finale show."

"OT is not just a weight loss show; it's so much more. The leaders have inspired thousands of people around Ireland who have embraced a healthier way of life and are leading transformed lives as a result," she said.

"This year I'm also particularly proud of the fact that the Government have announced plans to make it mandatory for restaurants to display calorie counts on their menus."

Thomas added: "I have no doubt that our Operation Transformation Count Me n campaign, which started in 2011, played a huge part in pushing these plans through."
