The first of the 'Battles' shows in this year's The Voice of Ireland aired on RTÉ One on Sunday evening, with nine contestants going through to the live shows.
In the Battles, team members must compete against each other to survive on the show. However, any singer sent home by their coach can be 'stolen' by one of the three other coaches.
From Team Kian, John Bonham and Chris Brady were chosen.
Team Una's Patrick Donoghue and Nicola Lynch also booked their places on the live shows.
On Team Rachel, Sarah McTernan made it through her Battle, while coach Rachel Stevens also 'stole' Kieran McKillop from Team Una.
On Team Bressie, Ashley Loftus and Dean Forrester survived, with the coach also 'stealing' Sasha Sangari Smith from Team Kian.
The Battles will run until Sunday March 15, with the live shows beginning on Sunday March 22 and running until Sunday April 26.
