Jo Joyner has spoken about her EastEnders live on air fluff, saying that she "had a little cry" after the scene cut.
The actress mistakenly called Ian Beale by the name of the actor who plays him in a scene with actress Laurie Brett on February 18, saying: "How's Adam?"
Joyner spoke to Gaby Roslin on BBC London 94.4 about the slip-up, saying people have been very kind to her.
She said: "The week that I've had… the people have been so lovely. I'm just so blessed to have such great Twitter followers, such great friends and family and such a great cast and crew who just couldn't have been more supportive, otherwise there's absolutely no way I would have gone back out the next day.
"There is absolutely no explanation as to how or why that happened. We couldn't have known [the script] better, we go over and over this…
"There's no way you could do live telly like that, let alone for the cast to rehearse, the crew [too].
"We need to have such huge rehearsals and we were well rehearsed. I'd never got it wrong! Obviously, I thought I'd wait until there were nine million people watching."
"It was like an out of body experience, like a car crash really. As I'm saying 'Adam' I can hear myself tailing off, because I came out of my head and went, 'well there's no getting out of that.'"
She also spoke about how EastEnders bosses reacted to the line fluff, saying: "They were just gorgeous, because I then had to go and do another five scenes or something. So I kind of exited that scene and, obviously it's live [and] we have to keep moving.
"We had to run to another studio then, for the wedding. I was outside that studio set just hyperventilating really.
"I had a little cry when they cut."
