Battles begin on The Voice on Sunday

Let Battles commence!
Let Battles commence!

The 'Battles' stage of The Voice of Ireland begins on RTÉ One this Sunday at 6:30pm, with singers from Dublin, Kildare, Wexford, Waterford, Clare, Mayo, Leitrim, Donegal, Antrim and Belfast taking part.

Each coach - Bressie, Kian Egan, Úna Foden and Rachel Stevens - now has 14 singers on their respective teams, and team members must compete against each other to survive on the show.

However, any singer sent home can be 'stolen' by one of the three other coaches.

Bressie says: "I love the Battles, the passion on stage is amazing."

"This is the name of the game; if they are not good enough they are going home," says Egan.

Foden says: "I love my team - how on earth am I going to choose?"

"The Battles is the time to take it to the next level!" adds Stevens.

The Battles will run until Sunday March 15, with the live shows beginning on Sunday March 22 and running until Sunday April 26.
