The Great Yeats Birthday Party will take place in Lissadell House, Sligo on June 13 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the poet.
The event will include writers and musicians, with poetry recitals, discussions and music as part of Yeats 2015, the year-long initiative celebrating Yeats, which is being funded by the Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht as part of the Decade of Commemorations.
The Minister for Arts Heather Humphreys announced details of the Great Yeats Birthday Party on a visit to Lissadell House today, February 19.
