Fifty Shades whips up €1.3m in three days

Following its release last Friday, erotic drama Fifty Shades of Grey took €1.341m at the all-Ireland box office in its first three days, the highest opening of 2015 so far and the 10th biggest opening in Irish box office history. 

The Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson-starring film is also the biggest opening in Universal Pictures Ireland's history.

Overall, in Ireland and the UK, Fifty Shades of Grey took €19.277m in its opening weekend.
