In 2011, the Irish Youth Choir realised their ambition to create a smaller choir of singers drawn from members of the larger choir, to be called the Irish Youth Chamber Choir.
In 2012 and 2013 the new choir performed nationwide tours, singing everything from Massive Attack material to James MacMIllan.
Rise Up, My Love contains compositions by Gabriel Jackson, Howard Skempton, Eric Whitacre and the music of other great contemporary composers.
The work was recorded at St Patrick's College, Drumcondra, Dublin on October 12 2014, and was later mixed and mastered in Berlin.
