The Libertines' Carl Barat has revealed that he wants Noel Gallagher to produce the band's comeback album.
Barat said that the reformed band, originally established in 1997, could use Gallagher's "clarity of vision" on their new record, which is due out later this year.
"I'm going to email Noel Gallagher," he told NME. "I know he's really busy, but hopefully he's got a bit of time for The Libertines who love him so.
"Noel's Noel, isn't he? I'd love to work with him. He's hilarious, but he has such clarity of vision as well. That's something the Libertines could certainly use."
Barat added that the band will likely begin recording their new album in April.
