Damascus Cover, the spy thriller starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers that is currently being filmed, has already been sold to a number of markets, including the Middle East, Spain and South Korea.
ScreenDaily.com, which broke the story, says deals have also been completed for the Balkans, Indonesia and Malaysia.
In Damascus Cover Rhys Meyers plays an undercover agent sent to Syria in 1989 to help a chemical weapons scientist and his family leave the country.
The film is based on the Howard Kaplan book of the same name and also stars John Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Igal Maor, Jurgen Prochnow and Navid Negahban.
Filming is taking place in Morocco.
