Listen: Alabama Shakes preview new tracks

Alabama Shakes have posted two new songs from their forthcoming album, Sound & Color. Have a listen to Future People and Don't Wanna Fight here.

Sound & Color is released on Rough Trade Records on April 17 and is the follow-up to the band's four-time Grammy nominated debut album, Boys & Girlswhich was a No 5 hit in Ireland.

In the past three years the soul blues band, who hail from Athens in Alabama, have contributed to the soundtracks of Twelve Years A Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and Silver Linings Playbook. They performed at The White House for the Obamas alongside Mavis Staples and Justin Timberlake.

“We took our time to write this record, and I’m really glad we did,” says powerhouse lead singer/guitarist Brittany Howard. “We were able to sit down and think about what’s exciting to us. This record is full of genre-bending songs.”
