Fr Ted co-creator Graham Linehan is working on a pilot for a new sitcom called The Cloud which is set in a data-hub in space.

Linehan, who also created The IT Crowd, is writing the pilot, which is not for transmission, with Adam Buxton of Adam and Joe.

According to a statement from Channel 4, "The job of Cloud Station 13 is to protect the vast amounts of information the human population now hoards on its endless devices - the majority of which comprises of selfies, copious pictures of kittens and a lot of porn.

"The disparate group who man the hub are anything but technical whizzes; which would matter less if technology - including a largely voice activated ship - was a little more reliable.

Filming in Spring 2015, the cast comprises of Adam Buxton, Ashling Bea (Trollied, Dead Boss, British Comedy Award Winner for Best Female TV Comic) and Jamie Demetriou (The Midnight Beast, Cockroaches) and the Producer/Director is Richard Boden (The IT Crowd, The Walshes).
