Former Walking Dead star David Morrissey is joining the cast of Halle Berry's sci-fi TV drama Extant.
The 50-year-old English actor - who played the spooky Governor in the zombie drama - has been cast in a recurring role in the CBS show's second season.
Extant stars Berry as astronaut Molly Woods, who alters the course of the human race's history by returning pregnant from a solo space mission.
The first season is currently airing on Tuesdays on UK satellite channel Syfy, with episode four starting tonight at 9.00pm.
Morrissey will be playing global security expert General Tobias Shepherd, who has a complicated personal history with Molly.
The actor is a veteran of UK television shows such as Blackpool, Doctor Who, True Love and Red Riding.
Despite much critical praise, Extant, which is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, is undergoing creative restructuring for season two, with Berry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan leading a predominantly new cast.
