BAFTA winner Eddie Redmayne has praised Benedict Cumberbatch saying he is "the most staggering actor and wonderful human being".
Speaking to Digital Spy the Theory of Everything star said, "Ben and I are old, old friends. I think he's the most staggering actor and wonderful human being and what he did in [The Imitation Game], what that film is, is utterly brilliant.
"I understand why the two films get connected, but to me they're completely different pieces and hopefully there's room for both. Well, there seems to be. The Imitation Game has done so sensationally around the world and continues to do breathtaking business."
He added, "He's got a late on his plate – he's having a baby, he's getting married. I know he's a very happy man."
