Luke Evans has signed up to star in the upcoming prison thriller Three Seconds.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Hobbit star will head up the project from British director Otto Bathurst, which is based on the best-selling Swedish novel of the same name.
Three Seconds tells the story of a man who is forced to go undercover in prison as part of an FBI operation. However, when the operation goes awry, he is forced to escape on his own.
Matt Cook has adapted the novel for the big screen.
